Be careful : Doesn't work on Shadow PC : I reported this issue months ago !
I already reported this issue months ago when the game was only on the Epic Store and this issue is not fixed :

This game does not work on cloud Shadow PC. When it launches and when you press a key to enter the game it says that Shadow can't display "protected content".

Shadow PC is a cloud gaming solution and it seems that Zen Studio doesn't care at the same as I already reported this issue.

Be warn ; if you use a cloud PC computing solution to play steam games, this one will not work.

PS : Shadow PC is totally legit. It's just a gaming PC on the cloud with a great graphic card that lets you play your games everywhere (and if your PC hasn't the requirements).

@Zen @Akos , Is this anti-streaming issue by design or will it be rectified in a future update? :steamthis:
By design for sure...It's the only game that doesn't work on it

Hey, Shadow PC is not an officially supported platform, although in theory it should work. We will look into it.
Shadow PC is just a Windows 10 with and NVIDIA RTX and 16 GB of RAM in the cloud, that's it...It's not a particular platform. It's just in the cloud...

Yeah, it's not a platform, nor capable of shared streaming; it's just a licenced W10 or W11 'virtual machine' used by an individual. I hope you are able to rectify issue eventually :steamhappy:

Any PFX progress with this issue regarding "virtual machines" running W10 and being unable to play any of the PFX tables owned?
Count me in as another Shadow PC user that would love to buy more Pinball FX content if you'd sort out the HDCP check preventing it from being playable on the service.

Shadow PC doesn't have a "monitor" plugged into it so the HDCP check fails. Please work in a solution for the good of your playerbase.

I asked this for months and nothing happened :(

Why does PFX software require the HDCP check anyway? What does it achieve from Zen's PoV?

The prior PFX iterations never had it, and I've not encountered this with any other game title to date. I (wrongly) understood that HDCP was just a blu-ray handshake via a HDMI lead?

Interesting question considering pinball is a niche type of thing. Also the tables are so inexpensive I can't imagine this being a major problem. It makes sense for maybe bigger releases that take years of development. I'm not convinced it is necessary for pinball.

But perhaps, due to the nature of the "trial" mode that is offered. A mod could circumvent that... So maybe it is necessary for the trial mode at least. I just hope it doesn't affect the purchased content, which sadly, HDCP does these days.
