Cabinet Mode: Back glass flickering over main play field
I've setup cabinet mode and have the backglass displayed on the second screen.

However, whenever I play a table the backglass is also visible flickering over the main play field. Anyone else encountered this?

Managed to fix it by editing the .ini file directly. :steamhappy:

It's sporadic, but happens to me randomly too. Sometimes it's a part of backglass flickering over playfield, sometimes it's the DMD flickering over backglass (I have 3 monitors), and sometimes the DMD flickers over main playfield too. It's always a duplication, as the backglass and DMD settings are fine and show in their correct spots. When I exit completely out of game, or reset PC, sometimes if goes away, but a lot of times it comes back, especially if I make a setting change somewhere.

I'm having this same issue. I can have the DMD or the backglass enabled, but when I have both going at once, I'm getting the DMD flickering over the playfield and then usually a crash.

In the main settings, go into Cabinet Support and enable it, then adjust where you want the backglass/dmd to show.

OK I found where to set the cabinet mode.
It also flickered on me until I set the backglass position.
I had to disable the backglass while setting it up.

same thing here
a duplicate DMD appears after a few seconds of play, flickering over the playfield in top left position

These are the values that I used from FX3 that seemed to do the trick. My backglass is 1920x1080 and arranged as 1 | 2 side by side in Windows. I just added the numerical values to the relevant lines in the .ini file and then restarted FX and everything worked.

Dot matrix horizontal position = 2245
Dot matrix vertical position = 720
Dot matrix horizontal size = 1270
Dot matrix vertical size = 340
Backglass horizontal position = 1921
Backglass vertical position = 0
Backglass horizontal size = 1920
Backglass vertical size = 1080

Hi, this isn’t resolved. I’ve tried multiple settings change methods in the in game menus and by editing the settings.ini file. I have three monitors set up vertically in my cab. They are also aligned vertically in windows settings. All works fine in fx3.

Once everything looks correct in the settings, back glass and dmd display correctly only if I enable them one at a time. If I enable both, I get strange flickering effects (usually a ghost dmd on the playfield) and double up of these images across monitors despite the settings for coordinates and scale being correct. This is often followed by a fatal error. Currently I’m just playing without the back glass as whenever I enable it the problem occurs.

Unusually, the back glass image will occasionally appear inside the dmd window when I’m tweaking those settings too.

Solved this issue on my cab. The issue seems to be in the standard graphics settings. I was running in full screen mode which appears to have been the problem.

I changed this to borderless windowed and the issue disappeared entirely. Everything now runs as it should with no flickering or ghosting. Hope that helps someone.
