Poor performance
New game looks worse than fx3 on low graphics and runs tragically bad on lower end PC or steam deck.

Even on my rtx 3080 it draws more power than God of War or other AAA games looking almost the same as in FX3. Even simplistic tables such as Necrodancer runs poorly, which is amazing. Zero optimizations done?

What happend? Previous version managed to run on freaking Nintendo 3DS, while newest one requires good PC.

I've tried this game year ago on epic games and nothing really changed.
Only the leaderboards keeps me playing this instead of Visual Pinball X, which is free, looks and runs better.
At least physics are somewhat better than FX3 in new FX.

It should be early access. And hire UX designer.

I played 2 weeks ago to check if the performance improved over the last year and it ran really bad. This steam release runs flawless on my (cpu bottleneck) pc (6500k, 16Gb, 3070). I don’t know if there was some weird setting on my epic version or if that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ launcher is eating cpu/ram. RT of off since I prefer a quieter PC over some minimal reflections. Quality on medium/high in 3440x1440.

It looked really bad in the beginning until I noticed that the render resolution was set to 80%. After setting it to 100% it’s really nice.

I agree with everything what You said here.

For sure, I have no problem with paying for tables again. Im paying just 10 Euro every day 356 days every year to smoke cigarettes, and it's just burning money.

100% agree.

Like You im playing this just for leaderboards.

On my RTX4090 and f i9 13900K on f 120hz, 86inch TV this game doesnt looks and perform as good as FX3.
HDR implementation is garbage too...

The UI looks like it was designed by a drunken child with no arm in an early version of MS Paint.

And the new logo is just a nail in the coffin of a product that has had no equal in its field for years. My mother-in-law would design better in MS Word and this is absolutely no joke.

However, I still believe that over time they will do something about this junk and we will see a product worthy of the current technology.

This new version feels sluggish. The reaction time of the flippers have like a millisecond delay. Just doesn't feel right. FX3 is way better.

Yeah, I had that feeling on my laptop but worst on my cabinet where it is more like a 2 second delay.

I wish there was an option on when to activate the free day pass. I wasn't ready or had time to play much or spend a lot of time on them today. I just wanted to install and check it out for a few minutes. I even tried to skip the tutorial as to not activate the Free Day Pass, but that didn't help.

I get a steady 60 fps with graphic quality set to high at 1920x1080, and I have a gtx 1070 and a i5 6600k. I guess it's an optimization problem with the other fancy graphic settings that I can't turn on because my gpu is old.

I hope they will sort it out, because in the near future I intend to build a new pc that will allow me to play this game and others at 4K resolution.

I have a 5950X and an RTX 4090, and the game runs well below expectations. I own all of the the Williams tables and have severe stuttering when Zen enhancements trigger on them.

My Specs

You have: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER

You have: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10600KF CPU @ 4.10GHz

You have: 16 GB

You have: Windows 10

You have: 1.3 TB

I get medium graphical settings at 60fps...

On RTX4090 , i9 13900K, 32GB DDR5:

4K RT enabled 130 - 140 fps
4K RT disabled 220 - 250 fps

At 1080P double of these values.

To be honest i use computer for work at 90 percent of time, If I had to pay this money to play pinball game comfortably, I would never play this game.

FX3 engine in my opinion was the perfect combination of quality and performance.
FX is...what it is.

I definitely wish the performance was better as well. Runs and looks fantastic on my PC with a 4090 at 4k (On a 1080p monitor - Have to run it at 4k due to the awful AA Unreal uses), but like, of course it does, it's a 4090.

On my Steam Deck however it's a different story. Can only hit 60 FPS at the Deck's native resolution (And occasionally it drops), can't even run the game at 1080p on my TV with lowest settings, whereas FX3 runs flawlessly on Deck at 1080p. This wouldn't be a *huge* issue if it wasn't for the awful AA. Really needs to run at a higher resolution to look decent.

Definitely hoping Zen can implement some more graphics options so we can lower more settings. Let me turn reflections off, let me turn realtime shadows off, let me lower the texture quality a little bit. Quite frankly, even if it ends up looking worse then FX3 to get the same performance in Unreal, I don't care, it's pinball and all I want is for it to look crisp and run at 60 FPS.

Does anybody know if it runs better on Epic than it does on Steam?
Just wondering.

Its the same performance on both platforms.

Mine was running at 20fps until i exited Nvidia control panel entirely. For some reason that did the trick.

I'm surprised how many people here have 1500-2000$ GPU. Wealthy pinheads, clearly not the CSGO demographics. No wonder they didn't bother optimizing the game.

Yet, my mom can play this game smoothly at 4K on Xbox Series X. How is that possible? Did they lower graphic quality on consoles compared to PC?
