Pinball FX VR for Oculus
Damn i was excited to purchase this game, then seen they want minimum $10 a table. Way to Steep Zen Studios, do better. I'll stick with UEVR.

Only the Williams premiums are $10 or more, just like here.

Everything else is between $3-5 per table. Base app is the Secrets and Shadows 3-pack for $10.

They confirmed more tables are arriving; we'll just have to watch.

Just tried the 15 min trial. I think it's ok for what it is if you don't own a PC that can run VR. VR controllers are so unnatural to play with is my main gripe. Also in my 15 min of playing i couldn't turn off the characters standing next to table. I find that very distracting.

In conclusion i'm gonna stick with Pinball FX on Steam. But if you only have an Oculus 2 or 3 it's decent if you enjoy pinball.
P.S i already spent $22.50 on Indiana Jones on FX3 and FX..i'm done buying it.

All of the Williams tables here are more than $5 each so why were you expecting them to be cheaper on Meta?

Probably because these tables have been out for a while. They constantly go on sale as low as $1.86 to $3.33. Also 3 pack Williams bundles have sold for $5. I thought Zen would perhaps bundle a pack of Williams tables together at a reasonable price. But i get they're looking at a non PC market to tap into.

Balti provided this handy tip (sorry, no pun intended):

To turn off character animations, go to: Palm Menu → Settings → Ingame → Environment Animations.
To disable them while playing a table, use: Pause → Settings → Ingame → Environment Animations.

I had gone to that screen in the trial but it was double greyed out. Clicking did nothing, but perhaps i missed something or it hasn't been added in trial. Good to know though, thanks for heads up dude!
I tried it now and honestly the visuals are not nearly as good as for fx2 vr using quest 3. Which in term is not nearly as good as steamvr version of fx 2 vr but still. FX 2 vr is way more efficient in using the quest 3 chipset. The addams table which cost most look the absolute worst but I guess it´s in alpha stage currently.

For this quality I won´t invest though I really want to support VR it´s incredible. I hope there will be a steamvr version and that together with better headsets then the quest 3 I hopefully find it worth it. This is currently a downgrade to star wars vr and fx 2 vr though nice with new tables.

The base game everybody should buy. There is very good opportunities to demo tables and the stock ones are among the better working ones.

As for the environment again I preferr how it´s in classic where the entire room atmosphere changes according to which table you use. Here its more grounded in reality but then you don´t get as much help with the atmosphere.

As for controls would preferr having buttons mapped to the flippers. I need to press the triggers like 80 % before they register. Make timing really hard. Also the tactile effect don´t work yet in fx vr however it´s incredible weak in fx 2 classic and other titles so that don´t make much of a difference. Another reason for steam vr be able to use more controllers

i confirm that fx2 vr was far better, the graphics here are honestly horrible with a lot of aliasing. If you try to upscale the resolution with game optimizer the frame rate dips. It's unbeliavable how they can go backward instead of delivering a better product. Moreover haptics are not working. I reported also on official discord but i guess many people there are in denial. I was really looking forward to it but until now is a disappointment.

I really like the Q3 version. It's just way more comfy to play FX on the couch without having to stream from the pc. You can use Quest Game optimizer to increase the resolution - that tool is basically a necessity on the Q3.
The DLC was more expensive than I expected.. but also so support them in keeping improving the game and releasing new tables, I bought all the DLC. Considering the amount of hours I will spent of them - well worth the money.

i did like on fx2 vr. the problem here is the framerate that dips. ball is lagging as hell

Does it make sense to compare sale prices on Steam against regular prices for MQ? That's what you're doing. Wait until there's a sale for the MQ versions before you compare prices.

Are you playing on a Q2 or Q3? Are you using GQO to increase CPU/GPU?
Jontk Apr 3 @ 7:32pm
q3 and doing same things as fx2 . so resolution upgrade paired with CPU upgrade. the lag on the ball is crazy and also if u tilt left and right on the table it s seems image is out of sync like a tracking issue. it s stange since if you are not playing but you look at it without "inserting the coin" is perfecly smooth.
