Best controller for Pinball?
The new Williams pack has led me to ruin another controller. So, before I get yet another controller, I figured I'd ask folks here what controllers they use for the game, and which ones they like best and think are the sturdiest? I've just been using standard x-box controllers, and they just don't seem to be sturdy enough for how hard I mash those flipper buttons. And, a Thank You in advance for those folks who do offer their thoughts and recommendations, they are appreciated.

Lol, what are you doing :Grineer:

I think the Xbox controller is perfect, due to the larger size it is much more comfortable to rebind nudge to the D-Pad - so a playstation style controller would be bad. Combined with using r1 and l1 for the flippers it does not leave me wishing for anything else.

Sure a V-Pin would be much cooler.

I can confirm that the XBOX controller is perfect for Pinball as I have used it for well over 7 years on different pinball games here on Steam. :pba_button:

What can I say, I play hard, harder than the flipper buttons can handle after awhile. That's why I was hoping someone had a recommendation for a stronger controller. While I do enjoy pinball, let's just say I shouldn't be checking my blood pressure right after a play session, as I know it's going to be elevated.

If you're looking for something closer to real life, check out the PinOne mini from cleveland software design. You can map it as an xbox controller for fx or use DOF, there are guides.
I've been using it for a month, the solenoids on the flipper buttons are great.

Thanks. I'll check them out.

Maybe try to learn to stop doing that? The result is the same you know, no need to mash like a bull.

I'm using a PS3 controller personally.

I used HIT BOX to play this game, and its buttons are very sensitive and durable. You can give it a try

I mean, if you're really super serious about this, you could get something like this:
https://www.clevelandsoftwaredesign.com/pinball-parts/p/virtual-pinball-pinone-mini-machine

Or build one yourself in a wooden box for probably a lot cheaper. They should be sturdy, and if you break the buttons you can just buy new buttons for a couple of bucks.
