Pinball FX
FX vs FX3
Why is there an "FX" with a release date years later than "FX3?" and which should I get and why?

Play FX3 for the older tables.

Play FX for the newer tables that FX3 doesn't have.

This, i used to play a lot of FX3, but i migrated to FX just for the newer tables, i did buy a few tables that are both on FX and FX3, but only my favorite ones from FX3.

The hardest part is definitely getting used to the "realistic" physics that are in most tables, some techniques that were near imposible on FX3 such as Live Catch are mandatory on FX. While Some are incredibly more precise and harder on FX such as Drop Catch

I had to re-learn how to control and cradle the ball on FX. The Physics on FX3 are waaay more forgiving.

There's another reason i pretty much dropped FX3, and it's the annoying audio lacking bug that is affecting it right now, and zen hasn't done anything about it, which made me cave in to play FX instead.

and yes, FX3 is mostly discontinued and is a legacy title, so if this your first pinball game from zen, i suggest you stick to FX.

Optimization-wise, FX3 is considerably more optimized than FX, but FX has more fluff in general, such as Pinball hall customization and unlockables actually mattering.
