What is up with that right ball return that kicks the ball directly into the center drain? That has to be a bug.

Same here on Steam Deck. I tried it a few times, always freezes.
The other tables from the pack seem to run just fine.

Same here, froze and had to quit the game, I am on steam deck too.

This seems to be an issue at frame rates above 60. Considering how common higher frame rates are these days, I'd consider that unacceptable. Physics should work similarly at any frame rate.

The third successful skill shot does not add to score or indicate (number pop up, KITT talking) in any way a successful shot. The target does drop.

I am really sorry to hear that! Although Pinball FX doesn't have official Steam Deck support right now, we will try to investigate the situation.

I got an Extra Ball on a random reward but I never got it - unless I was supposed to hit a target afterwards

You have to hit the sink hole by the jump ramp to get it. You'll see a flashing "Extra Ball" indicator for it next to the hole after getting the award.
