What exactly do you mean? If you go to the saves screen, there’s an option to delete a save, which will clear space for a new save.
Or are you looking for a type of reset that would reset planets but keep your resources, tools, armor, and levels?
If that's the case, there is no such option by game design.
The game was intended to be completed, and if a player wants to start fresh, there are three available save slots.
Why isn't this option available? The game was developed with a design closely aligned to the original version. Due to time and resource constraints, it wasn't possible to reinvent the game into something else with a reset or rebirth feature. Or any other feature that would transform the game into something entirely different if compared to original version.
The features added to the Steam version, such as fishing and booster cards, complement the original version's gameplay. These additions slightly enhance the player experience, making it different from the original version without altering the core mechanics.
I am not asking to 'keep' anything. I would like to reset the game as if I had just purchased it and installed it. I do not see this option anywhere. Perhaps I am missing it. You say I can go to a saves screen and there is an option. I did not see a saves screen. I load the game and the first screen when going to play shows 4 slots for characters, I pick myself as a character and continue and I am in the game. No saves listed to pick from and no option to delete. I will go check for a 10th time now to see what I am missing.
EDIT: Ok, l see it now. I have no clue how I missed that. I searched all over for a way to delete the save and start over and every time I hit start game it went to the character screen and not a 'profile' screen which it is now going to. Or maybe I am just old and senile and totally missed the profile screen and clicked it without thinking. I suppose that is possible as well. Anyway, I see it now. Thank you for the response.
