If you meant mobile instead of console, it's worth noting (as mentioned in the FAQ) that My Little Universe is not a simple port from mobile to Steam/Switch.
The Steam and Switch versions differ significantly in many aspects. While we retained the core game design and gameplay, numerous features have been reworked, new ones added, and some planets underwent changes as well.
Overall, the experience on Steam and Switch is quite distinct from the mobile version
Here you can see Steam FAQ
→ Will the game be free to play?
We have chosen a premium monetization model, where the player buys the game once and can enjoy the game with no interruptions.
All microtransactions, advertisements and banner will be removed from the game.
TLDR - Steam version won't have any microtransactions and/or advertisements (ads)
Can honestly say this is the first time I've ever seen someone actually complain about having to buy a game instead of being hounded by ads and having microtransactions shoved down your throat. The mobile version of this game is horrendous because you spend more time watching ads than playing the actual game and than, on top of that, they have the nerve to add insane amounts of microtransactions that they push on you every chance they get. It's so bad that it actually violates Google's Ad Policy. I'm just assuming no one's ever bothered to report them for it.
Having played the demo for the PC version, however, this is how the game should've released on mobile. It's spectacular. I can finally actually play the game without having to watch an ad literally every 20-30 seconds or without having to spend hundreds of dollars on microtransactions just to have any hope at progressing. This version is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar better than the trash mobile version and you should be thankful that its not free this time.
Funny enough, according the the government guidelines, I'm technically living in poverty and yet, I'm hyped as hell for this. Unsure if I'll actually be able to get it tomorrow or not, but I'm sure as hell gonna try. lol
EDIT: Even funnier, I just looked at your profile and, since I'm from the US, I'm also technically a foreigner to you. lol
This is just barely related but I don't want to open a new discussion so I'll ask here, the mobile version asked for my data and to send it wayouttatown (to say the least), there's nothing like that here is there? Was quite interested but that drove me away instantly. Might give this one a shot though
Whether a game is expensive or not is very subjective. 20 bucks is a lot to some and peanuts to others. Objectively it also depends on how much the microtransactions in the mobile version adds up to in comparison, how well the port is done (some ports are horrendous and lazily done) as well as how much content the game comes with. And ultimately if you truly enjoy playing the game then the price may very well be worth it even if it's a short game.
