Paint the Town Quest Bug?

Paint the Town: "Bring the paint bucket to Aya in Barrenpyre"


ive got the paint bucket storage from her with pink paint stored in it.
meanwhile i found 2 more paints buckets (red & yellow), which are still as items and cant be stored inside the paint bucket storage, only the pink one with the paw symbol below can be stored.

the quest still says "Bring the paint bucket to Aya in Barrenpyre"

whenever i try to either bring the pink paint from the storage
or any of the other 2 buckets to her she doesent react, and have no interaction option.


Either the quest description is unclear and i missed something, or theres a bug. but im stuck on this.

(i made a stop with the game continued the next day, but talking to her also doesent repeat any hints, if i may had so search any specific one somewhere? i checked and searched trought the whole town and some other stations and found nothing at all.)

yeah, i tried it with each bucket in the hands.

tried all 3.

Then that's a bug, yep...

When talking to Aya with a bucket in hands, you're supposed to get a dialog option to hand it over to her:

yeah, dont have that option, i can just talk 3 times to her (chatting), then she says "im bussy" and blocks convo, even with paint in the hands.

I have finished the Question a bit further, so the quest is as followed after you gave here the bucket of paint and it gets added to your color storage you have to go to the town center of Barrenpyre and paint the tree in the middle of town with your storred paint either from the paint storage or ones you found on the map after you painted the tree you have to talk to Aya again and going forward from there you can talk to her and give here more paint that you find.

i am having this issue with the quest too! i brought her a yellow paint bucket and she asked me to paint some tree or something. however, the quest still acts like i didn't bring her a bucket at all.

Hii everyone in here! I just wanted to check if this issue was fixed for you in the latest patch? If not, would you mind sending us your save file? Before the patch we had an issue where if you got stuck all instances were super different from person to person so we had to adjust it case by case on our side, so all we need to fix it on our side is the save file 😄

Quick guide to how to best find your save file:

1. Open your file explorer
2. Type or paste this in the search bar:
%appdata%/../LocalLow/Green Tile Digital/Locomoto
3. Find the folder with a bunch of numbers and then go to Saves.
4. Copy the two files of your save (should have the same name but have the file extensions .json and .dat)
5. Send them our way

As described by Michi in this post, the issue with the paint the town quest just happened to my latest save almost exactly as described. I don't know what causes this as in my first save, I made it threw no issue, the only difference was I didn't find the yellow paint bucket first and immediately bring it to Aya (this is what I did in my first save file).

also, something I noticed that I didn't see brought up above when attempting to paint the tree even though not prompted to by the quest (its still stuck on "bring the paint bucket to Aya") it will do the animation as if you are painting the tree even though the option is grayed out and the color of the tree does not change.

Hey, we just released a new patch. Please let me know if you still have this issue on patch 1.0.5.
