Can't proceed in quest "Learning the trade"

I have to show Bastion a crafted piece but I can't. Whatever I'm holding Bastion just doesn't care. :( Does it have to be a certain kind of furniture?

I found this too. Try any furniture that turns into a box when picked up. He didn't accept lamps, dolls or small tables from me but he did accept a folding table.

Yeah, had a "box" one before (a shelf), but tried a new one yesterday and it worked. Kind of strange not knowing what he doesn't want to see, but well, at least he's happy now. :D
