Godus
So this isnt going to be Populous.....any games out there that look promising?
Hello people.
:-)

Was close to buying this...but after reading all the comments im glad i didnt. I was a big lover of Populous on the Sega MD, and im really after something similar with updated graphics on the PC.
Is their anything else in the pipeline?

Thought this would be the best place to ask.
Cheerz guys/gals.

look at Reprisal. Thats a God Game well done. Just depending if you like the look and if you need multiplayer because as far as i know it doesnt have one. Also its just on Desura till now, but you can vote on Greenlight for it i guess.
I enjoyed playing it.

Yeah, it's more like that. Still, would be more fun for a Populous fan than Godus is right now.

I also yearn for a good, relaxing simulator. I used to play Black and White, Theme Park/Hospital, the Movies, (all by Peter Molyneux I think) the Sims and SimCity series...But you know how Godus is right now; SimCity was disappointing gameplay-wise (personally I don't care about the online-only drama but if the game itself is not worth it then whatever); The Sims 3 was basically The Sims 2 but you had to buy the same expansions again, (Sims 2: University, Sims 3: University Life, how innovative! /s) and it looks like The Sims 4 is going to be the same.

Seems like the only simulation games that get released now are the Facebook crap and the Train/Truck/Bus/whatever Simulator 2014-style games.

Not even close, but you could try Reus. It's definitely in the God Game Genre :)
