Plot levels

I have no idea how these work. I am only on 200 followers so pretty early on. I am trying to get my farms built up but i only find level 1 plots, with an occasional level 2 plot, but there is no indication as to how i get level 2+ plots. any help is appreciated!

Hi there Perlious! We've got a handy thread up over here which delves into some of the mechanics of the farming settlements if you wanted to give it a look to see if that helps. Also, we'll be doing quite a bit of revamping of the Settlements sometime soon as well, which you can read about over yonder. To get the larger plot sizes you need to unlock cards and reach milestones (population, wheat, and ore).

Ha ha, no worries. I prefer someone else coming in and giving a direct answer as well. Can't tell you how many times I've searched for help on a forum only to find a link to a thread which links to another thread and so on. Cheers Muir!

I understand all that but I must already have the cards as I have a few level 2 plots, but I don't know how I sometimes get level 2 plots but mostly level 1s... like, is there some way I am making level 2 plots appear without knowing?

The land levels also play a part. For example, you can only build up to a certain size on sand. If you want to build larger abodes, you need to move up to grass. And again with grass - you can only build up to a certain size so you then need to move up to higher ground to build larger buildings/farms.

Thank you Muir that makes sense. I assume it is the same with farm sizes then, I need to build on higher levels.
