Open Source please?
Is that the right term? I'm terrible with terminology, but at this point, give out the code and let the community finish it. You're not going to, we all know it...

they should have done that years ago... perhaps now the game would be enjoyable at least

I bet the community would love to get their hands on it and try to turn it into something. 22 doesn't even have to stop their own current work, but I bet it would bring some interest back to the game.

I would be entirely on board with that.

+1 for open the code for the community

Well they could do the Space engineers approach. Realise the source for modding only. only reserving the CORE foundations to themselves.

This allows the modding comunity to go HAM on the game and make crazy ♥♥♥♥.

Won't work, Space Engineers has actual game play, not just mobile cash grab mechanics.

I'll second this too. 22 Cans clearly have ceased development of the game, but I think the game would very much be salvageable in the hands of the community.
There's a good engine and a bunch of great assets in there, and with a proper Warzone 2100 style project it could be made to live up to its potential.

Making it Open Source to fans really create the game they wanted and create something like hub for time to time devs of Godus would make it propably best game ever. 22Cans would still let the brand but mark game as F2P with micro pay for Cosmetic things and the cut from money would go to every one of the devolpers which would work on the game to support them on it.

I dont see problem in that ... Wait i see ... 22Cans must visit the forum and be clever enough to actuly do it ... huh oh well ... F it ...

Just make this a thing already. At this point, there's no point in not making it open source, everyone knows 22 cans have scrapped this project. No more work is being done and it's basically a scam to keep this in ea and keep getting money for it.
