Grey pillar in the mountain?

Anyone know what this is or if it's useful? I was gonna colonise the area but I found this right in the middle of my land.

They're temples, or shrines. Basically just a pillar.

It takes tens or hundreds of thousands of Belief to dig them out... and they only give you a few stickers. They're not worth the effort.

If they continuously generated stickers, or (preferably) belief, then they'd be worth it.

It was interesting the first time I dug them out, but such a huge letdown once I finished repairing them... like so much else in Godus.
