Shrines of Collection (Auto Belief Collection)
I just got the Auto Belief Collection Shrines... Is there a point? Is there something I'm missing that justifies all of the excitement I had when I saw that "HOLY COW AUTOMATIC BELIEF COLLECTION IS NOW YOURS"? because right now it seems worthless. So my belief gets collected... In a size 15 radius... Only when I am logged in? Huh?

This is a super high tier upgrade. I had to raise my population very high to get to it. I had hoped that the utility it presented me would be worth the trouble. I was having visions of logging in to hundreds of thousands of belief I had previously missed out on because my buildings hit their cap. Nope.

I'd have been okay with it if it was just the small radius but it collected if you were offline. I'd even have been alright if it was global but only worked if you were online. But both? It's not even worth the 1k belief it costs to build it.

Add that to the fact that belief is based right now on a compulsive playing system that forces you to log on every couple of hours to get maximum efficiency, and I'm just plain disappointed.

On that note, let me address another gripe. Settlements. Specifically Builder Settlements. I had my Mountain Cottages set up. Roughly 500 belief, per hour capacity of 1800. So they're full after about 4 hours, but hey, 1800 is a lot. The voiceover tutorial praised these Settlements like they were the hand of God himself reaching down to hand us belief. So I figure hey, I'll make some of my mountain lodges and cottages into a builder's settlement. I took careful mote of their belief per hour and max capacity, then squished then together.

"HOLY COW! 8800 CAPACITY! That's greater than the sum of its parts! Cool, they weren't kidding about these being great for belief!

Wait a minute... 400 belief per hour? That's less than ONE cabin, let alone all of them! What gives?! Yeah, I'll waste less from staying at max, but it now generates MUCH SLOWER than it did before. You call that an upgrade? Getting 8800 used to take 4 hours with 5 mountain lodges. Now it takes 20+ when they're all squished together! That's not an upgrade, that's a penalty!

I'm disgruntled. I'm upset. I want to like this game. I do. But some of these design decisions make no sense at all to me. Why is this like this? What purpose does it serve?

Also cash grab. Lots of cash grabbing.
I have to agree with Slayer-- there was a lot of wit displayed in four short posts.

It's a shame that Peter lacks this kind of Wit... and lacks any upright employees who will tell him off when he's walking a dark path.
I mean... I figured that was why. I just didn't want to call a fish a fish, I guess.
