You can't exactly explore the files on a tablet where you can with the PC and MAC versions of the game so I am going to assume that no matter what you can't have access to the saves and files of the game on the ios version.

Nope.

The two at present are not officially compatible, and profile states are not handled online in such a way that you can play one and have your progress carried over.

It might happen one day.

But 22Cans haven't really communicated when or even if to expect it.

You can, but a lot of stuff like save data is locked down on iOS making it next to impossible to access even if you find the game's location in the filesystem. Due to that, when you remove the app it makes a mostly clean removal from your system, saves and all. They may store saves serverside to allow for multi-iOS device play, but I'm not sure if that's the case or not. If it is, it's only if you set up a Mobage account to work with it.

They do make save games server side (one of the troubleshooting steps is to delete the game and reload it. It reloads from the server accroding to the trouble shooting info) and you need a mobage account to do it.

1.open ifile and go to var/mobile/applications/godus/documents an zip prf1 and email it to yourself
2.open you email and put the zip on your desktop and unzip
3a.start godus and complete the tutorial
3b.close godus an go to the the place where godus it's data is stored
4.you should get a prf similar like this one prf110000108dd95fb
5.put the unzipped prf1 in the god us map and and copy the name of the map prf110000108dd95fb or similar and delete it
6. rename prf1 to the old profile name (prf110000108dd95fb or similar)
7. very important!!! or god us will think your save game is for an iPad and will start a new game delete both cloud data home world files
8.restart your computer
9.enjoy

Nice. I suspected you could access this if you jailbroke your iOS device, but I thought for the average user it might not seem worth the trouble. Good catch here, but my bet is that you don't need to use the app iFile to pull the save, probably any filebrowser app that requires jailbroken state to access the app data will do.

By the way, might want to edit out the stuff like I did in my quote, not sure what the stance is regarding mobile software, but I suspect it's the same as PC software.
