This is why the adventure genre crashed in the late 90s, too much damn moon logic.
Dissapointing.
Broken age act 2: electric boogaloo.
The characters and animations are amazing though
After act 1 I was hoping to let my young one loose on this with her tablet to learn some creative magic. I somehow don't think so now
For us common plebs, act 1 was about pointing and clicking and meeting characters and unravelling the story, marvelling at the creative genius.
Act 2 I wanted the answers to act 1, what I got instead was frustration and finally...disapointment.
I hope this post doesnt put anyone off buying the game., it's still worth it.
I guess I'm just overall unhappy with the way act 2 played out.
Wiring puzzles was all about connect one wire, put the hexathingy in the "charger" and see what lights up, rince and repeat.
Story.. OMG did they fack you over with that. All buildt up in Act1 just thrown out the window and hey look at this, better do a stupid puzzle and run back and forth through several screens dosens of times. Its after all "long game you see".
And why did they change Vela into a bloodthirsty "letsbloweverythingupbecausenoreasonwhatsoever" butthurt teen? jees.
Not to mention story f*ckusp with Shays parents, especially Mom.
And the feeling I got from Act 2 was pure Discworld.
The people who call the puzzles "stupid" or "dumb" are the ones that aren't intelligent enough to look at the clues given to them through the objects and/or people around the characters.
Don't get so angry when you're stuck, it's not healthy. Take a break, or switch characters, revisit some places/people, see if your spoon has any ideas, ... and yes, take notes.
Wasn't the worst puzzle design ever, but it certainly could get rather frustrating. Would have preferred some good old inventory based puzzles instead of all this environment and setup based stuff.
