Language stuck on german

I installed the game on a PC that is set to english, steam is set to english and so far all of my games were playable in english. Yet Broken Age somehow is stuck on the german voices. Since there is a lot to be found about the other way around, not being able to change from english to another language, I guess all he voices are inside the audio.pck and it only contains one language?

Is there any way to fix this or to get a hold on an english audio.pck file? Changing the settings, restarting the game and rebooting didn't do anything so far.

I don't know if it the case with Broken Age, but some Steam games download different files depending on the language you've chosen on Steam. So look at the properties of the title in your Steam Library, and check you've got the game language set to English there. Sometimes it has happened to me that the game will automatically download in Spanish, so I have to change it to English there, and then Steam will update the files.

Well, the language is already set to english everywhere. The language within the properties menu is set to english, too. I just uninstalled the game and downloaded it again and it's still the same. :/

fixed it. reinstalled it and then was able to switch to english in the main menu under options

Have you tried setting voice acting to English? Game language, subtitles and voice acting can be set independently here.
