Interesting design choices
I am really looking forward to this game, and I also own the original.

Reading the dev updates, however, there are some interesthing choices I came across, please correct me if I am wrong.

1, Steering wheels
The question of steering wheels are very central to a title like this. So, then why is it, that only certain steering wheels would be supported?
Windows recognizes all game controllers, why can't you just take the input from native Windows?
People have all kinds of steering wheels at home. If the game require manual dev inclusion for every type, you will certainly have people with incompatible steering whhels (even though they work fine in Windows and in other games)
This also ties in into other types of controllers. I have an indicator stalk from Aliexpress, which Windows recognizes as a controller. I am perfectly able to use it in CCD 1, but then I won't be able to use in CCD2, because it's not on the 'tested with' list?
Isn't that a step backwards? Plus how long would it take to program in taking native Windows game controller inputs? Probably quicker than hand-building wheel support for each individual wheel type.

2, TrackIr and VR
For a game like this, it's really important to be able to look around in junctions. CCD 1 has supported both VR AND TrackIr.
Now it seems that only VR support is planned (because the original version supported it).
Now, VR is mostly available to a select few players, as it's still very expensive. Adding support is also more complicated, you have to set up stereo rendering, add optimisations, design floating menues, etc.
TrackIr has been available on the market for 15+ years now. It's also way cheaper than VR, and a lot more people own one as a result. Implementing support is also much easier: you just need to read the inputs from the TrackIr sofware, and move the camera accordingly.
So to be clear:
VR support: few customers have it, difficult to implement, will be in the game

TrackIr support: many more custoners have it, easy to implement, don't even dream about it

3, Dynamic weather
Dynamic weather (and time of day) can be great, as long as we also have the option to set static weather (and time) to suit our training and gameplay needs. Now to me, the Devlogs suggest, than Dynamic weather will be the only option. So if the random generator decides that now it's going to be gloomy and rain, it will be gloomy and rain. Now, I presume that for testing and debug purposes there is already a function in the game where you can force a certain weather to appear. Why can't we have that option then? You have designed a game literally from the ground up, spent months (years?) building a city, but adding a button to change the weather, that is too much?

4,Getting out of the car
This is more like a request. In most modern sims (The Bus, FS2024, Tramsim, Train Sim World) you can leave the vehicle and explore on foot. And it's GREAT. You already have transparent barries to stop the car vandering to places, where there is no detail. Why can't we then have an avatar (from FPS camera, so you won't even need to make a player model)?
Also, Unreal editor literally defaults to FPS stance, it actually takes extra programming effort to not to have a playable character in game. I think having an FPS mode would be a no-brainer.

These are my questions/observations.

Hello,

1. I think you've misunderstood something. You're right that Windows recognizes all game controllers. And we don't plan to limit the supported wheels only to few models. But we cannot make an automatic preset for every wheel on the market.

2. None of them are planned at the early access stage. Considered for future.

3. At the early access it will be dome only as dynamic change according to the initial concept. Manual changing is considered for future.

4. This not GTA-like game. If you add some new game mechanics you have to add related activities as well. Otherwise this game mechanics will be boring and useless. For now we're not ready to add properly worked out game features for an avatar traveling by foot.
