Question to the devs about possbile future features
I'd like to know if the devs are considering the idea of:
1) add the mouse wheel to scroll weapons up and down
2) add some sort of on screen crosshair (or at least a reference on where the character is aiming)

i don't think that this would be game braking features, but just a way to have a more enjoyable experience. I have played a few hours and noticed that i use the default weapon 99% of the time because it's a little bit uncomfortable switching weapons with the keyboard, mostly when you are dealing with several kind of enemies at once and you need the full movement control on your character.
Also some kind of aiming hint would benefit the overall exerience, due to the isometric view aiming can be difficult when looking only at your weapon direction when you are trying to shoot a distant enemy.

just my 2 cent, since now i really apprenciate the support that you RWS guys are giving to us, let me know what you think about those 2 things. -tnx

I hope you can turn those things off.
I personally like the fact that one has to work for one's kills. I can aim almost the direction I want and when I notice that it didn't hit, then I will correct my error and the enemies will die.
Not so big problem for me.

Those to me are not really a big deal, I use the keyboard so the 123 setup for weapons is easy for me, and the aiming is just fine, its not like a FPS where you are hip shooting, all you need to is aim in one direction, its in a way just a 2d game, now if it was 3d like Postal 2, yea crosshair are good for that, but not in a overview of a 2d game, it would be neat tho to have a laser sight kinda of thing tho but I prob would not use it.

Adding the mouse wheel to scroll up and down the weapon list is on our to do list yet!

As for the crosshair, I dunno if that is an 'in demand' feature, if there is, we will consider it, but it would always be off by default as I feel it would make the game way too easy.

Thanks for the comments and feedback!

tnx for the reply...about the crosshair, i don't feel about demanding it...sometimes people get mad if a game has more options (i don't know why since i haven't asked to change the game), it was just for curiosity sake. However as i've said, i respect the vision of the people who have played this game from the begin (and also the devs vision who have make the game), so evertyhing i said is to be considered as an additional option in the game menu...

Yes, please, don't casualize the game. I finished it when I was really young, so it isn't a hard game. A crosshair isn't needed, but more options are always welcome.

Absolutely not! No crosshair. There shouldn't even be an on/off option for it. That would just kill the entire Postal experience for lazy gamers. Postal Dude is a spree killer, his shootings are meant to be indiscriminate hence 'going postal'. Putting a crosshair would mean his shootings are targeted.

Feature request: should we just put some text on the screen if everyone is dead for 30+ seconds that says "Press F1 to start next level"? :)

seems like a core characteristic of the game...i've had no problem in founding the solution...also there's a specific achievement for this...i don't know though...some people can apprenciate that...for me it's fine as it is...i just miss the mouse wheel

I thnk that the F1 to continue is a good idea, and yes, only after 30/45 seconds. If not, it might be a showstopper for some users. (I also would like that F1 to be bindable, for us users with xpadder or joy2key).

And please, include mouse wheel support to change weapons, I also don't have enough buttons to bind to weapons.

Don't add crosshairs, and don't add this. It's would ruin the, "Oh you press F1 achievement." And I laughed my butt of when I tried killing myself to end the level and it didn't work. :P

Mouse scroll for weapon change would be nice

Here might be a cool feature, I don't know if Postal already has. After we beat the game give us the ability to pick the level we want to massacre, so we can replay our favorites. (:
