Edit: I would also find it acceptable to report bugs in-game, assuming the in-game bug reporter didn't try to do something stupid like force me to sign up for some account and/or jump through other hoops (That's right, JuNO, I'm talking ♥♥♥♥ about you again - and I'm not going to stop until I can submit a bug report without an account).
Devs do read the forum, just that they don't usually reply. Any replies they did will cause a stir both ways as in positive and negative. Supporters are gonna support and haters are gonna hate. So more game platforms (including Steam) have manuals for devs and advice them to refrain from posting too much in the forum.

Well that explains why you’re all over the forum here acting like (which you are not) tech support. Also there are other forum of other games where the developers speak freely and help others and has zero issues.
Discord is the worst. Would have been best to have the forums on their main website. There is also no excuse for this company to not have a pinned FAQ for the most common issues on here.

As much as I disapprove of this reliance on such an abusive platform (and I assure you I'm not using that word lightly) it's a choice between using it or leaving the bug be.
I'd totally understand either choice.
Steam doesn't give each game its own forum just so devs can completely ignore it. If they have no community manager or whatever checking here, that's a failure on their part, not mine.
The devs are actively reading these forums but only voice/show themselves on here when everyone has a huge outcry like with the anti virus issue right now. So they are picking and choosing on what to deal with. Which is pretty lazy and disrespectful to their player base.
