If you're not sure what to do, first goto your Steam client, look on top and click "Help", then select "System Information" in the drop down menu.
Steam > Help > System Information
and copy (press Ctrl+A, then press Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) everything here, so we may help you check what spec and OS you have there and see what may be the problem.
Also, if you are using a N or KN series Windows. You might want to install the "Media Feature Pack" that your system lacks to play cutscenes/videos in certain games.

OMG...I think it worked!! Ur amazing! & thx for putting it in layman's language. (I see that u have helped a lot of players, that's very nice of u) I hope this helps.... I looked up re: Windows media package. I think I have it but says "Windows Media Players Legacy" & is checked off. Is that ok? Thx Shelley
You have 2 GPUs on your system so you need to update them both.
1st is the Intel iGPU (I've grabbed the link for you already so you just need to download and install it)
https://downloadmirror.intel.com/764512/gfx_win_101.2115.exe
2nd is the Nvidia dGPU (Same as above, just download and install)
https://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/552.44/552.44-notebook-win10-win11-64bit-international-dch-whql.exe
After that try copy the system information and paste it here again. There's a small problem in that list and hopefully updating the drivers will fix it.
For the media player, checked it and it should download the required media player your system lacks. This should prevent cut-scene crash in all games that require the media player to work.

Hi there! After numerous attempts I finally got it to paste over...Yah! I did download both and watched it as it did it on circle, then said completed. I can't see anything to show that it downloaded but I don't know what to look for....ur the expert.....thankfully! Hope it worked. Thx again!
I am going to assumed you downloaded the files but can't find them?
Try go to the web browser you used to download them, and hit "Ctrl+J", it should show up in the download history there. Click on the files to run them, but do it one by one at a time. After you finished installing the 1st driver, then start the 2nd one. The system might prompt you to restart your PC after it finished installing.
Steam, ALWAYS says somewhere from 1-5 files failed to validate no matter what, that's normal. It's resetting certain files to a default state so said files open "first time".
Scratch all that, think I found your issue. Updating the intel driver wouldn't matter anyway since that log file shows you are using the PCIE/discrete Nvidia GPU. But it also shows your VRAM being 1GB, which is weird because your Nvidia GPU should have 4GB. The integrated one should be sharing memory with your system RAM, though I'm not sure how you would allocate more, if you even can.
The games' minimum VRAM requirement is 2048MB/2GB, so if the game/system is not detecting and reporting the right amount, that would be causing the game to not work.
I'd recommend opening your windows search bar, typing "dxdiag" without quotes, and hitting enter. That is specifically directx/graphics-ish information. With that open, check the display tabs for the memory related stuff.
No, no, you need to run those files in order to install the drivers, downloading is just the 1st step. Did you install the drivers?
The steps should be something like this.
Goto your browser, hit Ctrl+J and search for that 2 downloads. Click on one of them 1st and when prompted whether or not to run the file, click yes, then it's either yes/ok all the way until it starts installing (with a gauge running). After done the 1st file, restart your pc and do the same for the other file. Restart your pc again after both is done. And your drivers should be ready.
No, that's not normal. If you're constantly having a file corruption or bad install, it's either your HDD is failing and having bad sectors or your internet ping to Steam download server isn't stable.
That's the reason why she needs to update both drivers to the latest version. Outdated drivers may caused mis-detection of Vram.
The reason for this is the file that determines the game and redist files, is reset to think it's never been run before. On top of that some engines will save some configs to the game folder as well as appdata, and it will reset the configs that are in the game folder. So yes, failing to validate one or multiple files is normal. you can get a perfectly working drive, validate multiple times in a row, and get the same number. I'm not the only one saying this. some people panic cause "Steam said 3 files failed to validate on x game" and everyone else tells them it's normal. And what do you know, on that specific game it is normal.
Re-read, you said detection, not direction, my bad there.
But to be clear, this game has no redist files and will not fail to validate any. Just checked to be sure. So if THIS one says any failed, that's not normal. Usually games with an installscript.vdf file will do it, or anything that is modified on first launch.
Also sortof the same way that Steam won't delete mod files when you uninstall through the client. It checks for files that were that at initial download and unpack, and for the filenames. If new files are added and not in that list, they stay.

Finally got it tho don't how i sent it last time....After I entered the 3 CTRL A & C & P... I accidently clicked right button on mouse & "paste" came up....what a weird fluke as didn't do that before plus it only pasted 1 copy...PHEW! THX!! btw...when DLing they asked if I wanted a clean install to delete old drivers. I clicked YES...Did I screw up?....with my luck, probably.
You don't have to keep copy and paste the system info, since you haven't even update the drivers nothing will change in that list, so we won't be needing the info until something is updated.
After you downloaded the file, run it, it will prompt you with questions but most of them are simply a yes or ok to continue to the next step, including cleaning out the old drivers, since you are installing a newer version you won't be needing the old ones. Once you're done with the 1st file, it would either asked you to restart your pc or simply finished without anything more instructions. Either way, restart your PC after the install, just to make sure nothing is left out as a standard procedure. Once you restarted, start moving on to the next file and do the same.
If you're not confident with the procedure at all, it's recommended to seek for help from your local tech stores. Tell this to the technician there: "I need to update both my iGPU and dGPU drivers, and please help me install the Media Feature Pack. Also, please check why is the Vram detected as 1gb." The technician should know what to do from there.
