Has anyone else gotten completely stuck at the boat scene at Aviary Village?

Completely unable to move and a little confused, I've tried everything I'm aware of to try to place the boat, can't leave the scene and pick NOT to place it, and it will not let me place it anywhere.

I didn't mean completely unable to move, I'm stuck in this little radius where I get returned if I try to leave.

A few players have reported about that, but not all players have that problem, so there might be a certain code in the game that went berserk either due to resolution setting incompatibility with the code or a bad install with corrupted file.

I've had the same issue, files aren't corrupted and even bringing out in-game cursor by holding down the ALT key doesn't let me drag the boat anywhere. Softlocked that part of the game for me.

Yes, I just discovered this problem for myself, I really want the shop but I get stuck in that dang boat scene

I was able to do it, when the kid in the village lead me to the shopkeeper as a part of the quest

I had this issue too. The only way I got around it was coming back to it on mobile, which admittedly isn't really helpful for Steam-only players.

I had the same issue, but it was fixed when I changed the game language to English

I had this issue too! I think it has to do with the swiping mechanic not being available on PC or most console ports.

To solve this I logged onto my account on mobile and swiping the icon as it prompts me led to no issue. You HAVE to swipe on it, if you try to use the button command it will lock you out. Unfortunately I do not know any other fix. Hopefully this will be patched soon.

I saw others on PC say you can swipe by holding ALT to bring your cursor on the screen and click and dragging the icon, but that did not work for me. It is important with this method also that you do not hit the hotkey, or it will soft lock you.

Try changing your fps to 30 in settings and see if it works

I also had this issue, had to exit the game entirely and haven't yet found a solution for myself

still no fix yet, just had to leave and never get message boats
