How to play with Steam Friends?

I've added my friend via the Invite Code, but all their website instructions about Friend Constellations and Warping etc. don't include any instructions for Steam.

I cannot find any Friend Constellations, nor can I seem to create them - I can't play with my friend at all.

You need to visit the friend totem at the start of Aviary Village, or the Constellation Stone (near the gates area of Aviary Village or Home Area) to access your friend list.

To add your friend to the constellation, you just need to click on the Star (favorite) mark on their friend tree.

Step is pretty simple you gotta progress a little bit untill you unlock Home which can be seen after clicking esc, after you're at home and added friends you can follow him from the friend list, it's better to look up guide from YouTube for better explanation.

Ta for the answers, though turns out the solution was just that we had to quit out and restart the game after adding each other as friends.

The game wouldn't show either of us as friends until we restarted.

Well restarting takes some time, it's faster to go home and follow your friend. Anyways sometimes you'll get separated from your friend into different session so following friend from home is very helpful.

Yes, it's a known problem with the friendlist. Restarting the game fixes it most of the time.
