Sky: Kinder des Lichts

Sky: Kinder des Lichts

Your Account is at Risk
TCG is probably the worst company when it comes to safeguarding your account.

I have been playing daily for almost 2 years.

Three days ago I decided to try the game from Steam. After finishing my session, I logged out normally and went on with my day. Later that day I decided to play some more from my iOS device only to realize that the game started from scratch (a new game!) which was a shock.

Luckily, I had my Apple ID connected to the game, I swapped my login method from Game Center to Apple ID and managed to save my account. When I checked my linked accounts, I noticed that my Game Center - a login method I have been using for the last 2 years - was somehow unlinked from my Sky account without my permission. I tried linking it again only to receive an error saying that this Game Center account is linked with another Sky account (what???).

To see what is going on, I decided to log into the game with my Game Center, which leads me to an entirely new game. Of course, I thought the logical thing to do would be to unlink Game Center from this new Sky account (which was made without my permission) and then link it back to my main Sky account like it was before. Nope. When trying to unlink, I receive an error saying that Game Center cannot be unlinked from Sky.

This means that my Game Center is lost, and if it wasn't for the Apple ID login, I would have lost my account entirely.

This adds to a previous issue I had where my Facebook account was hacked and deleted/disabled. I had Facebook connected to Sky. Right now, I am unable to remove this hacked and deleted Facebook account from Sky because you need to give permission THROUGH Facebook to unlink the Sky account, and I no longer have access to the Facebook account since it was hacked and deleted. After contacting Sky support, they replied after weeks only to say that nothing can be done and I am stuck with a hacked Facebook account on my Sky account. After getting in touch with a Facebook rep, they said that all third party apps that use Facebook as a login option can and should be directly removed from the third party app (in this case, Sky and TGC) without needing Facebook's permission. This is true and almost all apps I know (Steam, Yahoo, Google, Blizzard etc) can have Facebook easily removed as a login option without needing to log into Facebook, which makes perfect sense in cases your Facebook account is disabled or lost. Not with TGC it seems. Without logging into Facebook, you CANNOT remove Facebook as a login method. Hence my Sky account is stuck with a hacked and disabled Facebook which is a big risk by itself.

Now, this new issue occurred with my Game Center, where there was probably some conflict with me playing on Steam that led to Game Center being removed/unlinked and wiping my data. If I didn't also have Apple ID connected, my 2 years old account would have been lost - and don't expect ANY help from Sky support.

I am currently waiting for TGC's reply on my issue, but hopes are low. They seem to not care and most of their replies are AI generated funny texts based on the Sky lore, instead of actual help and seriousness.

Be very careful as your account is at risk of being lost at any moment.

In my experience with their support and the way they (don't) handle linking issues, most people's accounts are quite literally with an expiration date - they just don't know it.

In my case, a hacked and disabled Facebook account is bound to my Sky for almost 2 years, and although I contacted their support multiple times, they will not do anything about the issue.

Yesterday was the icing on the cake when my Game Center unlinked from Sky after 2 years and got linked with a random new account - meaning without Apple ID the account would have been lost as the other linked option was the hacked Facebook that no longer exists (or does it? only the hacker knows and TGC won't let me unlink it). Their support is basically calling me crazy, saying that a Game Center account was never linked to my Sky, which is a lie. Either that, or they simply have no technical power to see previous links - which is scary af.

This happened after cross-playing on Steam, so it is definitely an issue on their end and how cross-play works.

I am basically done with IAPs since I feel like I do not own my account any more. Support is unwilling to help and their linking systems is hanging by a thread.
