[IMPORTANT] : Fixing the Black Screen Issue on Startup

After struggling with the frustrating black screen issue when starting the game, I wanted to share the methods that worked for me. Like many of you, I reached out to both the game and Steam support teams but, unfortunately, I couldn’t get sufficient help as they only provided standard troubleshooting steps that didn’t resolve my problem. Through trial and error, I finally found solutions that consistently worked for me, and I hope this can help others facing the same issue.

The Issue:
The game would show a black screen on startup and then crash or close itself. The problem would persist unless I took specific steps to fix it.

Solutions That Worked for Me:
Reinstalling the Graphics Driver:

Reinstalling the graphics driver (even without updating it) was the most reliable way to fix the issue for me. You can do this via the NVIDIA GeForce Experience app or by manually downloading the driver from the NVIDIA website. Be sure to select the "Clean Install" option during the installation process.
Disabling Shader Cache:

Go to the NVIDIA Control Panel, navigate to Manage 3D Settings, and locate the Shader Cache Size (or Gölgelendirici Önbellek Boyutu if your system language is Turkish). Turn it off completely.
Disabling Shader Cache resolved the issue for me. However, it may cause longer loading times in some games, so keep that in mind.
Ensure Your CPU and GPU Support Vulkan:

Since this game runs on Vulkan, ensure your processor and graphics card support the Vulkan API. Outdated or unsupported hardware may lead to compatibility issues.
Additional Notes:
I wanted to emphasize that this fix is based on my personal experience. The game and Steam support didn’t offer a permanent fix, and I had to experiment to find these solutions on my own. I’ve noticed several other players in this community experiencing similar issues, so I hope these steps help you too.

Update: Most Reliable Temporary Fix
After further testing, I found the most effective and temporary solution for the black screen and crash issue:

Disable and Re-enable Your GPU Driver:
Go to Device Manager, disable your GPU (NVIDIA in my case), and re-enable it. This has consistently worked for me to get the game running.
⚠️ Note: This fix needs to be applied every time the PC restarts, as the issue returns after rebooting.

Other methods like adjusting Shader Cache settings or reinstalling the graphics driver provided only temporary relief and were less reliable.
