I saw an article saying that you can only invite after all players have completed the first portal, until the Sky logo shows. This could have been the case if that really is true?
Also sometimes when people send invite codes they edit the code to allow it to be used in-game on chats (like benches)
example code XXX-XXX-XXX
you need the - for it to work but it will get blocked in-game (turns chat red)
so people type XXX-XXX XXX for example.
Also make sure you're not copying any spaces before/after the message as that counts as a character and will cause the code to fail.
Okay, thanks for the confirmation. It would have been much appreciated if this requirement was explained in-game to the player, while trying to either send or receive invites, if the player hadn't completed the first portal.
I also think it would be a good idea to lock this part of the main menu until it can be done so no one could use it before that.
