instruments constantly changing key (even when muted)

I've come across a recent issue with the last update where even when my music is muted the key of the instrument will continue to change as if my music was unmuted.
Pls fix, this makes it impossible to properly do the one thing i still enjoy about the game.

it happens irregardless. using the default key works fine the problem only happens when i try to preserve a key and goto a seperate area.
like if i wanted F major key typically i'd unmute in an area that is f major than mute and go where ever but now when when i do that the key switches constantly between the key i wanted and the key for the area i'm in.
For nest that'd mean it'd switch between the default C and the one i actually want.

Also just discovered this issue. Really frustrating. Suppose to be able to stop the key changing with music muted but doesn't seem to work on the steam version.
