Trouble logging in

Hello, I've ran into an issue of logging in with my Steam account onto Sky.
I have an existing Sky account linked with facebook and nintendo switch. I've already tried to link my Steam account through the Sky game app. I've heard of the facebook link being the culprit at times, so I went to unlink that one but sadly nothing changed.
Now I did accidentally sign in with my Steam account onto the game on pc before I could try to link it in the Sky phone app.

Every time I try to link my Steam account in the Sky app the following happens; it will let me login with Steam, then asks me to confirm the login which I proceed to do, then it will bring me back to the game without actually linking the account or logging in.

Does anyone know how to fix this or if this is a known glitch? Help would be appreciated.

You need to unlink Steam from whatever account it is currently linked to, as linking one Steam to multiple Sky accounts is not possible.

And since the Steam version only permits Steam sign-in, this whole process has to happen on mobile.

For that you have to first link the "wrong" account to something else, as you can't have an account linked to nothing. Secondary/throwaway Google accounts are a popular choice for this. Once that is done, unlink Steam from the "wrong" account and link it to the "right" one as you did before, but if done like this, it should succeed.

And after all this, just to tidy up, you can file for removal of the "wrong" account. It's a lengthy process, 30 days I hear. So outright removal of the "wrong" account in one step, without the unlinking shenanigans above, actually takes much longer.

Hiya, the main issue at the moment is that I don't have my Steam account linked to said account whatsoever. The sky app seems to glitch out and doesn't let me confirm to link my Steam account every time I try to.
So I basically have a Steam account and my actual account (on mobile and nintendo switch) but they aren't actually linked so I can't 'unlink' anything either.

Yeah you can. You have to sign into that account from mobile using Steam to perform the unlinking. When you launch the game (on mobile), instead of hitting the ▶ button select a different sign-in method.

Yes I have done that. Again when I try to log in to Steam that way, the app doesn't let me log in.

- I tap the sign in method instead of the triangle.
- I tap login with steam
- then I put in my username and password
- steam asks me to proceed and I hit the button to proceed
- it sends me back to the login screen on the Sky app without actually logging me in

I think it might just be a glitch on my end.

I see, so not only it doesn't let you link Steam to the right account, it doesn't even let you sign in through Steam on mobile at all — which would normally be the first step.

That… is indeed odd and sounds like a glitch, you probably want to reach out to TGC with that.

I was going to make one last attempt by seeing if I can play the mobile version via pc or tablet instead and see if it will actually miraculously let me sign in that way somehow but yeah if that'll fail I'll reach out to them about the issue.

Quick update, I managed to finally do it by using the app on a tablet instead. Took a while, I really hope TGC makes this kind of stuff easier in the future.

omg it such a late reply but i had the same issue, for my case i think i accidentally login with my email that i use for my steam so it’s like making double acc for 1 email. my way fixing this is reinstalling the game on your mobile so the app started fresh again without the existing account already there
