I can not join to the game.
I can not join to the game. Shows the company logo and then "Sky.exe is not responding"

Changed: Okay, I updated the video card drivers and everything started working

As expected, the game's server isn't prepared for the population surge for launch day. So such problems are to be expected. You might want to try the game again a few days later when the surge is finally over. Do not expect the game company to cough up money for servers just for a temporary surge, we've seen how unwilling they are on spending money on servers. So bear with it until the surge is over.

You might want to check your antivirus and firewall and make sure the game isn't blocked from accessing the internet as well.

And upgrade your drivers to the latest version just to be sure.

I don't think the application error is due to the servers being full. This doesn't seem to work that way.

That often happens to me. I've found that if you wait a minute or two it'll eventually load on its own and get you to the play button.

That is, click “Wait for the program to respond” and wait?

Thx... but there's not a soul in the game. There are no people at all.

If you see a wifi icon on the screen it means you are temporary disconnected from the game server and is now in a solo instance. Like i said, bear with it, it's probably temporary to launch date due to the population surge.

I'm not sure how it works now since they've changed it since I started, but people started to show up for me once I reached the second area (The place after the sandy desert). They'll show up as darkened avatars with little to no features until you both use your candles to light each other up.

Ah, I understand. Thanks a lot. I thought it was my internet problems.

Hah. Thank you, but I’ve been playing Sky on my phone for a long time and I finished everything, including Eden, a long time ago. As I was already told, this is a problem with the servers.

I'm having the same issue. I'll hear the startup chime, see the TCG logo pop up, and see the cursor, but the game suddenly stops responding just before the zoom-in to the play screen. My windows and drivers are all up to date. I really hope this isn't something from my end 😭

my specs:
processor: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
graphics: AMD Radeon RX 7900XT
ram: 64gb
os: windows 11

[1] Make sure your specs meet the requirement of the game. AVX2 is among them.
[2] For drivers, make sure ALL your GPUs supports Vulkan 1.3, some PC have more than one GPU, so make sure all of them are updated. Make sure BOTH your AMD drivers are up to date.

Getting the system info:

[1] On Steam Client, click on "Help" on the top then select "System Information".
You can check most of your system info here, including whether or not your CPU supports AVX2.

[2] Press Win+R and type in vulkaninfo then press enter, this should tell you the information you need to know about the vulkan driver on your system. If you see errors in this after you updated both drivers to the latest, you might want to disable one of your AMD layer for it to work.

[3] Press Win+R and type in dxdiag then press enter, this should tell you some of your system information and especially your graphic card information (in the display tab).

Yes, my CPU supports AVX2. Ran vulkaninfo and it shows Vulkan Instance Version: 1.3.261.

Though I'm quite confused at step 2... What errors should I be looking for? And if necessary, how do I disable one of AMD layers?
