Full Release but without
So we just full release and were made aware of this game on steam last month, but it's disappointing finding out how much early access content is already gone and locked away, from all the seasons, event specific items, to things like the concert. The more I play the more disappointing it is to not access the full content that was already gone on pc full release. Starting off fresh there is a ton locked away from even being able to work toward. Just lil disappointing the more i try and grind and find out cant even obtain.

This game is released on 2019, Steam release is just the pc version release of the cross platform game.

Yeah, i got that, not the point.
If you go to the game page,
RELEASE DATE: Apr 10, 2024
so we came in thinking "hey a new mmo game we get to do everything with from the beginning", to find out a ton of content was already done and gone.
The point remains the same, its disappointing to be locked out of a ton of content when advertised as new full release game only to find out late after we already sank time into it to realize a ton of stuff is unobtainable.

Well, the whole thing have been repeating for the past 5 years, and the same conversation been repeated over and over again, not only on Steam, but all across other platforms as well. But since TGC ain't going to change their FOMO tactic to get sales, you can only hope for future update with "similar looking items", games like these will sooner or later ended up with repeating designs anyway, they just can't do the exact same looking design in order not to upset their paid customers but similar designs already started to show up in the game, especially the accessories part... So even when you're 5 years late to the game, you still have hope to get at least a look you are pleased with before you got bored of the game and quit imo... there's just too many of those free ones lying around already... and the recurring cash store has some cool ones that come back annually... so you can plan ahead... just be aware of the FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) tactic they are using and you should be fine i guess....

Normally newbies will be dressed up in just 1 season event (and graduated from their "moth" look)... but you guys happened to start at the wrong timing, due to this season is all about furniture and the newly introduced housing system... so not many costumes are up for grab in this season. But next one should be back to normal imo...

Well you're talking about cosmetics, but the real content is all there, all the realms from past seasons with their respective quest lines are accessible.
yeah cosmetic items are somewhat exclusive to the season, but past spirits come back regularly offering past premium-only cosmetics for free to play currency.

besides there is always a new season to be a part of, often with a new realm, new quest and new cosmetics. this current one is special, there is no new realm but now they introduce player housing.

I'm my opinion don't stress to much about cosmetics, your collection will grow around the same pace as all other players and as in any other game, cosmetics are just a way for players to show support.

Thank you all for your responses. I appreciate the feedback, but I want to clarify that my concerns extend beyond just the missing cosmetics. While those are certainly disappointing, they are only a part of the issue.

One major point is the in-game concert that was available during early access. This wasn’t just a cosmetic event; it was an hour-long concert that provided significant lore and context to the game’s story, more than most other parts of the game. Missing out on this is a substantial loss for players who value the narrative and world-building aspects of the game.

Additionally, there are a few entire zones that are now inaccessible because they were tied to specific events. For a completionist player, this is particularly frustrating. It's not just about the items or skins, but about the experience and content that we can't access or even work towards. Starting fresh and realizing that a considerable portion of the game’s content is permanently locked away can be very discouraging.

I hope this helps explain why the current state of the game feels lacking, especially for those of us who were looking forward to experiencing all it had to offer.

This is Great! because there are very few of this places (i think 3 and besides aurora the other 2 are small bonus) although aurora was a one-time (actually two) event, you can still visit it, players that bought the wings can take you to the concert, there is even a discord group [discord.gg] where they organize a concert at beginning of every month (or you can request an uber to go watch the concert by yourself)

Again there are very few of this places usually related to collaboration events and you can always ask a player that has the specified item to help you visit them.

Hope this helps a little!

Some collab items may not come back due to the nature of the contracts, i believe that's all the same in all other online games doing collaborations imo... (The only game i know of that have collab item circling around even after the collab is MoEpic that have 100% free trade among players and items and used items can be re-traded...)

So far only 1 area is tied to such collaboration and that's the Aurora Concert. While it did came back last year, there's no guarantee that it will come back this year. But there are those with the cape trying to help, so it's not that hard to get the quest done as long as you try to make friend with the cape holder imo...

The Sanrio collab should be a 1 time event, but the dog is only there for the open ceremony of the Cafe, the Cafe itself isn't really tied to the collab and is there to stay permanently as a place for PUG to start a tour/quest in the game. The shop items for this collab event may not come back in the future.

The other collab area like the Nintendo area is permanent, and the cape is sold 24/7 in the Nintendo version.

The Journey cosmetic collab is also a 24/7 sale on the PS store as well.

Just like the Portal Companion Cube collab is 24/7 (and this one's free).

While other none collab "pay locked areas" are on an annual recurring, so their capes will be back on sale in the cash shop from time to time, as for the pin access areas, some of those can be accessed by free players using the OOB glitch, but if you want to wait for the pin, well, be aware that they are not always in stock to create that "limited" feeling, another of their FOMO sales tactic... -- Also note that you can not scan the star feature on PC and PS version.

It's a live service game, content gets shuffled in and out at random. Full release doesn't really mean much here for a game where everything is online and they discontinue older items, basically for the purposes of encouraging people to spend as much money as possible out of FOMO.
