Can you play coop from the start?

Do you have to play a while until unlock to play with friends like some games or can you group up from the beginning?
I haven't played yet and I want to play with my friends so according to your answers we'll hop on same time or we'll unlock the coop and meet after that

There should be a short tutorial where you are placed in solo instance, but it won't be long before you can get to the village and meet up with your friends (if i am not wrong, you can skip the rest of that part by clicking on the emote menu and click home to teleport back to home area as soon as you gain access to that button). You need to add your friends before you can teleport to their instance to meet up though...

Except if friends are in the area that still locked to moth they won't be able to teleport, right?

You can't teleport to a friend if they are in solo instance, either by quest or by connection problem, you also can't teleport to friend who have set the DnD spell active.
