Linux black screen with nvidia

Has anyone been able to get this working under Linux with an Nvidia GPU? The game runs perfectly fine on Steam Deck out of the box but on my PC it will load up and then freeze at black screen after the first logo. Sound will still be playing.

I have tried using multiple versions of proton as well as gamemoderun DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command%

Let me know if I'm missing anything important here. Only been running Linux for a few months on my PC.

OS: EndeavourOS
GPU: RTX 3080
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x3D
RAM: 32GB

Edit: Switched to X11 and the game works. It's only on Wayland that the screen is black, but I'm able to click menus and hear myself walk around. Trying to find a solution to get the game to work on wayland as X11 Plasma desktop is sluggish and things run a lot smoother under Wayland currently.

I am not sure if the pc version supports Linux at all, the Steam Deck version does runs on Steam O/S which is linux based but... as far as i can tell, the PC version is meant for Windows 10 and above (as seen in the store page requirement)

Late reply but this has been fixed months ago with new nvidia drivers that allowed explicit sync on Wayland. I believe they were the 555 drivers but we're up to 560 now. Look into upgrading them if you're on a distro that doesn't keep up to date.

On Manjaro running this game with Proton 15 GE, it runs great. The only black screen i get is when i go to type in chat with someone. I can still type and everything, and when i press enter to send my text it goes back to the game. This however doesn't happen on SteamOS.

This issue has been solved months back with an Nvidia driver update which added explicit sync for Wayland.
