Anyway... for the grid problem... can't say much without actually seeing your screenshot but here are the standard troubleshoot manuals...
[1] Check if your graphic drivers are up to date and not faulty. You might want to uninstall (using DDU) first and then install the newest drivers from the manufacturer's website.
[2] Make sure you have no 3rd party software running in the background that may cause this.
[3] Check your graphic card settings and see if you have any settings turned on to show mesh grid instead.
[4] Check if your GPU isn't over heat or over worked or faulty. -- This may happen when you overclocked your GPU.
[5] Try verify the game file integrity or try a clean reinstall of the game. After uninstalling the game, Remove/Delete the game's left over folders manually, then reinstall the game.

Every time I try to change it to public, it goes back to friends only
You need to upgrade your account to unlimited before you can do that.

For certain free to play games, you can do that after you have X amount of play time.
The Intel discoloration and color splash as well as weird texture is a known issue, and most of them can be dealt with by updating the iGPU driver to the latest. But some still report having that problem after update. There's a form back in the demo to report this so the devs could take a look at your iGPU model and hopefully added support for them before the official launch.

The form is still active, but not sure if anyone's going to read it since it's for the demo after all.
Your best bet is to try the discord server bug report channel

Make sure you list your Intel model in the report
