Hoping to see the game back up tomorrow, would be interesting getting Steam in on the prank.

They've already said in their socials before. It's not an April Fools prank. The game won't be playable on Steam for a period as they prepare for the official release. Don't worry, you can still play the game in other devices, just not on Steam.

There are multiple ways to "continue playing" this game.

For PC, there's still GooglePlayGame PC option.
For mobile, there's iOS and Android options.
For consoles, there's Switch and PlayStation options.

While I'm sure you have good intentions with the recommendations, Sky is not available on Google Play Games so no, PC is not an option until the full release

Sorry didn't notice Sky doesn't support GPG. Well, the devs did say they don't want the game to be on emulators (ban-able for using them), and that probably included GPG, even when they upload their game to GPS.

It's in beta now and only a select few countries have it, but they are working its way to cover all available country that have access to Google Play Store eventually.

Thanks Wyatt XD - yee I pulled out my PS4 to keep playing with relative ease, I miss my frames, but it'll do until I can get PC back.
