If we use an nfc reader for pc, will STAR features work properly? I read in an older thread here that you could scan the pins on your phone and then switch to pc, but in a group, that option is not optimal.

No, they have no current plans to implement STAR features on PC, that is strictly mobile currently.

I don't see the Star feature in the PC option menu, so even adding a NFC reader might not work. You can try click on "Support" in the game menu and ask a live support there about it. They should have the answer you need.

Scanning the pin on another device then goto PS/PC works, but there's caveats like you said. For the group, your group (friends that hold hands with you) should get the temporary benefit the moment you scan. Depending on the types of the special power, some last long, some are instant (like teleportation)... Those with a timer, like spell, you can scan and then switch to PS/PC, but those instant ones won't work that way.

The Serendipity matchmaking feature should work on PC since it only needs you to link 1 star object to your account.

I have an NFC reader on my PC.
It does not work right now.

It reads a link that suggests I get Sky from App Store or Google Play.

Wish the pins were scanned once and then just linked to the account so they don't need scanned every time after. I'm scared of losing one some day.

Yup! They should add a Star Feature Spell Menu for all those stuffs, the pins are bound to 1 account only and can't be used on others anyway. So they've saved the details that we own the RL Goods anyway why not a further QoL step to make life easier?
