Strange season pass monetisation
I have just finish the main story few days back, and since I LOVED it I was looking to maybe buy a season pass to show my support to this game and get some additional cosmetics etc.

However, I got turned off from this idea quickly.

I noticed that there is some weird grinding model attached to - at least - this season. To buy all of the items I would need 380+ season candles, and you can only get 6 candles a day, meaning I would have to grind for over 60 days to get everything.

At very least to try and get 4 cosmetic items it would still mean having to do same thing over and over again multiple days in the row.

I know you can get most rewards without buying season pass. I am not concerned over the price, but how expensive and time consuming getting the rewards seems to be.

Judging by how it is I feel I am better off just finishing all the content in the game and just ignore the seasons stuff all together.

Wish there is some better system in the game, because otherwise it was an amazing journey through the main story.

Yeah, Its been this way with sky for ages now, at least since when i played it durng 2022. Buying candles doesn't seem that much worth it, and with the season pass all it gives is like a special cosmetic, 30 candles for a headstart and 1 extra that u can earn perday, which is only worth it if you really want the special stuff theyre offering or you want to speed run it somewhat... Dont think they'll ever stop this monetisation thing, even with the normal candles people tend to do repetitive dailies to grind for it.

If you're ignoring the cosmetics tho, the storypart of the season is at least still free :D, and they got the past season quests also avaliable for free in multiple parts of the world that you could play, i'd recommend the revival guy in aviary to start with, many of his quests makes u interact with other seasonal spirits that you finish quests with :3
That is true but the good thing is that these seasonal items (except for ultimate rewards) do come back. Just in a randomized manner and a bit more expensive.

so you don't need to rush as there are chances that these items may come back as traveling spirits.

The only way to collect all the ultimate rewards in the season pass is to collect all the items from the spirits to unlock the final seasonal heart in the tree, that's the token used for Ultimate reward exchange. So grind is a must (or spend more money to buy seasonal candles from the cash shop) for season pass holders that wish to collect all the ultimate rewards no matter if the rest of the items comes back or not, we need to get them all in order to get to the ultimate rewards.

You can get the seasonal hearts by completing the furniture trees in the workshop. That's really where the majority of the season pass content is this season. Don't wait for final step in the spirit's tree, because by then the season will almost be over.
