Exactly. I didn't know this game existed until I saw it on Gamescom 2023. Maybe from a business perspective it works to get players to rapidly spend spontaneously in short period of time but from a player's perspective it creates a FOMO effect. I saw what looked like a pink dress that was an ultimate gift and they won't bring it back. :(
It definitely divides newbies and veterans. Kinda in a sense like the vets have all the cool stuff that we can never had. I mean it's not our fault we prefer PC and didn't know about this game's existence until now. Essentially we are at a disadvantage here.
they still have items that are just stright up said to never be coming back like Season guide ultimate gifts
That's the point I was making regarding ultimate gifts. I haven't interacted with the community much in Sky but I can't imagine a lot of them being ♥♥♥♥♥♥ if limited items were to to return for new players either.
When Disney Dreamlight Valley did this there were a couple of whiners but the majority of players were happy. So it couldn't hurt to try. It could close the gap between veterans and newcomers perhaps.
Bringing them back takes off the pressure and can still generate income IMHO
