Moment Guide quests don't start

If you go to the moments guide area and try to start the questline (Reassuring Ranger) by sitting down, nothing happens.

That happens when you sit at the exact moment of an instance merge. Or when you have a high ping (bad connection) to the game server. Check if there's a wifi icon showing up on your screen and other players disappearing. When that happens, you are sent to a solo (offline) mode instance and though you can continue to play most of the game, some interactions can't go thru due to the game can't connect with the server.

Normally for the instance merge problem, trying sitting a few more times (rearrange your position and sit again) will get it to start. Also make sure someone elses isn't starting the quest at the same time, it could effectively cancels your attempt to start from what we've seen through out the game with this mechanism.

If you have a friend nearby or some strangers that's trying to start the same quest, check for an icon showing up on their head, you can click that instead, to join their quest without starting your own. Or you might need to wait for them to finish theirs before you can start yours.

For high ping bad connection problem, as long as that wifi icon isn't showing, try sitting a few more times should kick start it. There could be up to 5~30 seconds lag depending on the connection ping, so sit and wait a bit before trying to move, cause moving cancels the quest starting. (Same thing happens to the Light gathering Quest)

For the wifi icon showing up problem, you might need to wait for that icon to go away before trying to start the quest.

Yeah no. Noone is able to start the quest. If you go to the npc, just watch as we all fail starting it :(

The exact same thing is happening with the red shard quests as well, I strongly suspect it's the same general issue.

Hmm.. lemme give it a try... will let you know if it works afterward.

There are reports that the instance merging become insane after the recent update and caused some of these quest points to gone berserk... might be that.

Check and it works for me on both PC demo and Android version. Not sure if it's because i've already finished them once? But it starts normally for me when i tried to sit down on both platform. (To be more precise, able to play the quest with another player that tried to sit beside me)

What i can think of is the version difference that's currently going on with the new update. Make sure you update the game client to the latest and see if that solved it. For the PC version you can try shutting down Steam and restart it again to force it to update the games in queue. For mobile version you can check the appropriate stores to download the latest clients.
