Valley Spirit bugged?

I have done the Manta Whisperer spirit journey twice and it won't register.

At the home location, looking up the completed spirits shows the solid white manta symbol but there is a red dot by it, I couldn't get a screenshot as I'm on a steam deck, The PC is being fixed.

What I am assuming is it's headstone is empty.

If others need to do the quest it appears and I help complete it.

But nothing changes. I've reloaded the game and that didn't work. How do I get it to register?

Red dot means you have a new emote or call registered from completing one of the spirit, you have to use/equip it once to get rid of the dot.

As for the spirit to appear near the tombstone you will need to complete the valley temple once again after completing the spirit for it to register. There should be a cut scene of the spirit waiting for you at the temple.
