Sky: Children of the Light

Sky: Children of the Light

Tricks on PC don't provide ANY benefits over basic flight
So I've been testing tricks on PC, and I can say that the tricks do not help AT ALL with flight. Rolls do not let you turn sharper, flips don't let you keep your altitude, none of it works. It sucks that such an integral and vital mechanic of sky is locked behind a platform wall, albeit likely unintentional(started on Switch, switched to Steam a few days ago after a 2 year hiatus with the game)
Something that would make me a lot happier is recognition from any TGC employee of this issue, as I don't wish for it to be ignored.

To those who want to test it out themselves:
The method is to enter Open-Wing mode, then hold a directional key and hold right click(don't click since that'll put you into closed wing mode), then hold a directional key 90 degrees to that direction

Ex 1: to roll left, hold A and hold right click, then hold either S or W.
Ex 2: to flip up, hold W and hold right click, then tap or hold A or D

Just hold down the flight button for tricks in PC

If you want to make a sharp turn spin, don't let go on the rightclick button while your flying.

i agree! all this time i gaslit myself into thinking spins were making my turns sharper but they werent. it just FELT like it cuz it LOOKED fancy, but yea they dont do jack diddly. for it being behind such unintuitive controls it really should just give you sharper turns, idk why they havent implemented that yet

the spin does nothing to your turning speed. it feels like it, but it doesnt.

Surprised that there are still people wandering the discussions tab for this game.

I feel like Sky is very low-effort except for its original worlds, and now is simply a FOMO game that generally are focused on profit disguised as a social friendship game. Also, personal bias, but the game is too e a s y and b o r i n g for someone like me, sure the socialization is nice, but I play a game because I want to play a game, even if I'm also playing with friends, and this 'game' has no challenge whatsoever.
