Problem with the in game translator

dose anyone else have a problem with translator? i click the translation button but it doesn't translate to english or swedish or any longer i recognize. the game is set to english so i dont understand....

For me it translates into japaneese in text form wich I don't understand at all, I'm swedish too. My game is also set to english.

I put the translated text into google translate and it came back as SWAHILI! I don't speak swahili!

My steam client is in swedish but the game is set to english if that has anything to do with it. The only thing I can think of is that the word swedish and swahili are close to eachother in the alphabet, did they get mixed up somehow?

Can't be sure without breaking down the codes they used for translation so only the devs know what happened there. The thing you can try is goto steam library, right click the game, and choose property, from there you can choose the default language for the game, try set it to English or something else and see if it effects the in-game translator. You can also try changing your Steam client's language and see if that effect anything.

i sent a bug report now. but i tried changing my language on steam and now the game translates to english at least!

I did the same, can cinfirm that if you change the steam client to english Sky translates messages from other players correctly into english but if you change back to swedish it continues to translate messages into swahili wich is so wierd! I also sent a bug report.

Swedish mixed up with Swahili?
Their ISO 639-1 codes are sv and sw respectively. Some either at TGC or their translation service must've typed the wrong letter.

Probably, it's really annoying not to be able to read any messages that are not in english when you can't understand the translation. I shouldn't need to change my steam client to English just to be able to read messages from other players. The rest of the game is in english because I set the GAME to english as it should be.

I'm not saying this is in any way a reason to not fix this, I'm just describing where it (probably) came from. It's still on developers to fix it. Proper bug reports to Sky's Discord might accelerate the process.
