THIS WORKED THANK YOU!
I Looked online where the items were supposed to be placed in a youtube video, did the same thing and published the shared space. (Edit, you'll notice when the item is initially at the correct place, they do not react, they don't nod, and they don't tap their chin pensively, they have no reaction to you placing the prop. This is the most important part of the glitch. ) For some reason this didn't prompt the "there's an important item missing" line before fading to black, which meant the spirits were still there and I could move them to each of their locations one by one. They weren't invisible like I've seen many others say, so I could move all four without issues one after the other.
Once they're in place, edit the shared space again ( don't delete it ) and place them again, this time they'll react to the items in the correct place, they won't be anywhere near it but the heart particles will be once the items are placed correctly.
