Sky with a virus?
Today, Sky updated, and when it did, my antivirus (ESET) detected that "Sky.exe" has "Win64/Packed.Themida.L." As a result, it didn't let me download it and canceled the download. I restored "Sky.exe" from quarantine, sent it to VirusTotal, and found that 6 antivirus programs detected this:

Bkav Pro: W64.AIDetectMalware
ESET-NOD32: A Variant Of Win64/Packed.Themida.L Suspicious
Gridinsoft (no cloud): Trojan.Heur!.03250023
McAfee Scanner: Ti!2DAE5B122C39
Skyhigh (SWG): BehavesLike.Win64.Generic.wc
Trapmine: Malicious.moderate.ml.score

Are these "false positives," or did they put something suspicious in today's update?

I'm having the same problem! Did you manage to find out anything about it?

Not yet, I put this same message on Discord. But I don't respond either. Only one user said it could be a "false positive." But I do not know.
It just happened to me when I tried to open the game

I'm also having a similar problem.

Same problem here, can't play anymore. :-(

Whether its a false positive or not, it's not exactly an ideal thing for players to see when trying to log into a comfy, relaxing game. I hope they address this quickly

Happened to me, too. Steam itself said it's a virus and my antivirus did as well.

The creators have not responded to anything yet. Some Discord users say to exclude "Sky.exe" from the antivirus. I will not do it. I'm going to wait for them to give an official solution.

Putting something in the files like that would not be a good move on their part. Their game would get taken down if malicious. Often new updates for games can have false positives in certain antivirus applications, until the devs and/or antivirus companies verify things.

Looking it up, that Themida thing is a packing process that devs can use, making it hard to unpack and check things in their files (for IP and copyright reasons, as well as cheating). It CAN be used maliciously, if detected on things you don't trust.

Most of the listed detections are from heuristics and "AI" (to quote Internet Historian, "far more A than I"), so chances for this being a false positive are very high.

Key difference is that ESET is not made by Bethesda and has not ruined it's reputation.

I'm having the same problem, but is it just PC users or is it all users?
