Steam exclusive IAP announced
At the end of latest video upload by TGC they announced companion cube from Portal
as an exclusive IAP for Steam, cant wait :)

30€ is the price of an AAA game day one, if you know where to look, they must be crazy to sell a useless cube for 30€.

Then again, they been overpricing cosmetics since day one.

...Can everyone just let someone be excited for an IAP, please? I'm not myself, I just on't care for Portal and won't be getting it, but some of you are already being a bit dickish to someone who is excited for something and able to afford to drop money on it.

So what if its price of AAA game, no one is forcing you to buy it, its there for those who want it and for those who want to support the developers.

Well said, idk why people feel the need to act like that for content that is optional and that no one is forcing them to buy, as a fan of both Portal and Sky Im probably gonna end up buying it plus its supporting the devs as after all it is a free to play game.

My initial response was a bit dickish too but that was because someone obiously didnt like that some people are excited about that.

The reason I even posted that they announced IAP was because before demo released there were constantly threads here asking if theres gonna be steam exclusive IAP and now they finally announced one.

Same. Like, if you don't like the price just... ignore it, or say it somewhere else that isn't under someone letting the community know about it and being excited.

Eh, it was less dickish than people being jerks over someone just being excited lmao. And while I can I guess get people being a bit miffed over the price, TGC literally needs money to run the game so complaining about "overpriced" cosmetics is pretty dumb. Plus if it were on all platforms, I'd be a bit more alright with complaining... but it's a platform-exclusive, expecting it to not be around that price is wild. And regardless of currency differences, it is NOT the price of a lot of AAA game on launch day. Most of those now go for 50-60 USD, around 50-55 Euro if I'm not mistaken lol.

Thank you for taking the initiative to post about it! I had no idea there was even an announcement of one until I saw your post. Glad to see it announced finally. :3

i hope it means they wil turn on shop for pc and also will release pc updates with other platforms because not being able to play with my frens was a nightmare for me

I think people of mobile can be joined again, a few people in a small server I'm in have been able to connect. I haven't tried to follow mobile friends myself though, so take that with a grain of salt.

Shop most likely will not be opened too soon but the proper PC release will be next year, hopefully pretty early in it. Time will tell.

Was hoping for an exclusive cape too .... maybe they'll add one? Switch has capes, PS4/PS5 has capes.

So what do you think about that Death Stranding costs only $27 （199￥）in China, but in kojima pop up store, a Death Stranding games-related merchandise, such as a Ludens mask, can cost as much as $556（4000￥）. Because one is for everyone, but the other is for fans, and Sky's in-app purchases are same.
However, I also hope those IAP can be cheaper too😂
