[IMPORTANT] Link your Sky Account to Steam!

Hello Adventurers!

Coming up on November 20th, local (unlinked) accounts will no longer be available on the Steam version of Sky. In order to save your progress, it's important to make sure that your Sky account has been linked to Steam. It will only take a few moments of your time, please see the instructions below!


Step 1: With Sky open, open the cog menu and go to Settings > Account

Step 2: Choose Steam Account and click Link to connect your local account to your Steam Account

Step 3: Your local account is now connected to your Steam Account.

help ! acciden start a new one without link it with my addroid and i try to link it with steam but every time i use steam app sky app close and not retain the log in

By doing it on the mobile, it doesn't mean using Steam-Link App on the mobile, it means getting the actual Sky app on your mobile. From the sky app, directly login your Steam account and you should be able to link a dummy account to it after that, and once it's done you can unlink your Steam account from that new account and link it to your existing accounts. If you done everything right on the mobile, when you login to the Steam version your existing progress should resume.

So, I can't seem to link my switch account to my steam (even though the steam account while we were in testing for pc has been deleted and unlinked)
I was so excited to play my actual account on pc with the new event, but now I just don't want to play if I can't play on pc.

Hope that this account linking issue is fixed some day.
Sucks I'll miss most if not all of this event.

You can only do linking and unlinking on the mobile version. And make sure you didn't login using a Facebook account when doing that. You can't unlink account when using FB to login.

...Yes, though this still doesn't help me if the steam account is deleted already it shouldn't be linked at all( I deleted before they closed testing for release so I guess not the full 30 days?) And trust me I already tried that way of unlinking. So I guess I'll just wait

UPDATE EDIT: So I did manage to get this to work but I had to use another mobile device separate from the one I was using to login on switch and link to steam, to say this was an exhausting switch over is an understatement.

I tried and it would not allow me to unlink the steam account, 30 days to delete (with no way to confirm for immediate delete) and won't let me link from my mobile account...

No worries, it can happen to the best of us! Follow the instructions below carefully:

Note: Be sure to have your original Sky account saved first with an external account like Google/AppleID/etc. before starting this process!

Go to your mobile device and make sure you have updated Sky
Start up Sky, choose ‘Sign In Method’ at the bottom
Log in with your Steam account that you accidentally linked your Sky PC account to
Go to the top right-hand corner in-game, hit the cog wheel for options
Go to Account and link it to an extra or spare Game Service account (e.g.: another Gmail account) that is not associated with your original Sky account
In the same Account window, hit the icon next to your Steam ID to unlink it and confirm
Restart Sky, and choose ‘Sign In Method’ again at the bottom
Log in with the appropriate external account your original Sky account is attached to
After you verify you are back on your original Sky account, go to the top right-hand corner in-game with the cog wheel
Go to Account, and link your Steam account properly

Congratulations, you are good to go and play Sky PC!"

How does it work, for example, if I log in to my GG account to bind FB and Steam?

I can't link my mobile to Steam, every time i try it says to unlink it.
When I try to play on Steam it only gives me the option to start a new game.

I think I have the same problem as GalaKnight. I am trying to link my mobile sky account to my steam. I am using an android device and have logged in with facebook and google. On both login methods when I try and link my steam account it says "Successfully unlinked from this Sky account" even though I am trying to link it, not unlink it.

It flashes some other text right before that very fast. But it's to fast for me to read.

hi, I have a question, does anyone know how I can link my G-mail account and all my progress to the PC's Steam account?
I have been trying to log in or change my account to continue with my progress but on the PC it won't let me log in via G-mail and if I do it via my cell phone then I have no progress because I get my steam account which is new, could you help this poor soul?

If FB is your only account for Sky, first login to the mobile using your FB, goto account settings, you should be able to link a google account to that FB account. After that, log out and login using your google account instead, then you should be able to bind the steam account to it.

If you directly use the FB account to link or unlink your Steam/Switch/PS account it will keep telling you it's unlinked and nothing happens after that. It's been a bug for ages before even the PC version...

Goto the mobile version, login your Switch account, then link Steam account to it. (Provided you haven't start a new account here with Steam).

If you already created a new account here on Steam. What you need to do is login using your Steam account on the Mobile version. Link a dummy account to it, and unlink the Steam account and logout. Once done, login using your Switch account and link Steam to it.
