The demo wont open

I just finshed downloading the demo and i tried opening it, it starts and immediately closes, is this just a bug for everyone? or is it my pc? i doubt its because of my specs but i am not sure, i can run other games pretty well

it must be because your vulkan version is below 1.3.x,
Since Sky: Children of the Light requires Vulkan API in version at least 1.3 installed on your system. To check what version you currently have installed, follow the steps below:

1. Open command prompt (right click on windows logo on your taskbar or press “Windows + X” keys on your keyboard),
2. Select Command Prompt (Windows 10) or Terminal (Windows 11),
3. Type “vulkaninfo” (without quotation marks) and press enter,
4. Scroll to the top of the window, where you will see line entitled “Vulkan Instance Version”.

If the version, you have currently installed is higher than 1.3.XXX you should be good to go. Otherwise check if your graphics card supports Vulkan in version 1.3 or higher. You can check it on Vulkan’s official page (https://vulkan.gpuinfo.org/)
If yes, go ahead and update your graphics card drivers. If it is still not working, many players have suggested clean reinstallation of the drivers.

It is a steam bug. On steam: right click on game > options > controller.. drop down menù, there are 3 options, try to change.. I had same problem on another game and it works.. =)

Same, but it says it deosn't support my graphics card, which I assume is the integrated becasue I have 2, and no it won't even let me choose :/

Hi, is your other one Nvidia gpu? Cause you can select from the control panel for each game which graphics card it's gonna use, or you can also set it globally for all games

Also, I guess another way could be, at least in Windows, is to go to graphics settings and under 'hardware accelerated gpu scheduling' you can manually set your gpu preference for each game

Yesss it works! I checked that my Graphic card supports it and turns out I just need to update the driver. Thx
