what animal is our character?

anyone know what animal our character is supposed to be? it's a bit hard to tell if he's a fox or something else

interestingly enough, the character's tail is slender in the one scene where it is shown (when the accusation is made near the end), which doesn't fit any of the animals mentioned in this discussion so far. Guess we'll need to keep thinking

If you type RACCOON in the naming screen, you'll be prompted that you can't “show your face” , so it's probably raccoon.
