I'm just checking-in to see if there's anything cool I've missed while playing.
I spent close to 5 hours on my first play alone so I don't think I can get much more out of this game at this point :)
Would you be so kind as to share any little tidbits you've found?
Anything goes of course, I'd appreciate even the most insignificant of observations

I would say Super Monkey Ball, but that was too obvious.

Music remixes count?

Cause they remix part of the Mania sand zone in the sheriff section.

And during Sonic’s speech near the last third it’s playing SA1/SA2’s It Doesn’t Matter in the background

Another reference that many might have missed is Shadow having a bunch of keys on him.

Could be a reference to how in Shadow's game, you need to collect 5 keys in most levels to open a hidden passage.

I am 100% sure the minigame was inspired by Advance 3 intro.
